Yarn Along

Joining in with Ginny over at Small Things for the Yarn Along!!

I started a single size blanket for Roman's bed last year and haven't had a chance to continue with it in a while, what with the Christmas busyness!! But was so happy to pick it up again this week and would love to have it finished for his 4th birthday in March (I've always been a wishful thinker)!

I saw this colour combination on Pinterest and fell in love with it. To me, it says neutral, vintage-y and will be appropriate at any age (hopefully).

I am reading Chemical Free Kids (Raising Healthy Children in a Toxic World) by Dr Sarah Lantz.

In unrelated news, it has been bucketing down with rain the last few days, and there seems to be quite a bit of flooding around. I'm trying to keep dry indoors and only venture out on the roads if absolutely necessary. Roman is a bit stir crazy though, as our first day back at Playgroup for the year was cancelled today due to water damage in their building.

I love this sort of weather though, perfect for a bit of comfort food. Tonights dinner was Spinach and Ricotta Cannelloni with garlic bread. Yummo!

  2. I love the colors you chose! Those ripple blankets sure eat up a ton of yarn though! I started one for one of my daughters and used nearly a skein per color. I'm hoping it'll be done by her birthday... in July!

  7. Love the colours! I've been thinking about making my kids a blanket each, but I doubt it will happen... It will take me forever to knit or crochet three blankets.
    Have a great weekend :)
