Joining in again today with Ginny from Small Things for the Yarn Along!!
I'm still working Roman's ripple blanket. I didn't get much done but I have woven in all the ends!! I thought it would be better to start the habit of doing this as I go along. For such a big blanket, it would have been a mother of a job at the end.
I have also started on some random Granny Squares to use up all my leftover yarn. I have been meaning to sew a TV Cozy, but then I was inspired by this one I saw over at Foxs Lane. I'm excited about it and think it will be a great pop of colour in our lounge room.
Today I am about to start reading The Slap by Christos Tsiolkas for my Book of the Month. I watched the series when it aired on ABC last year and it was fantastic. My brother has read the book and raved about it, so I am looking forward to it!

That blanket is awesome! I always want to knit a blanket, but feel like it might take 10 years, so I always pass :-)
ReplyDeleteI think it might take me 10 years!! It does get a bit boring sometimes but I keep envisioning how it will look on his bed and that keeps me going!
DeleteThose zigzags are such fun!
ReplyDeleteYou're so good at it, I really like the colors! :)
ReplyDeletewhat a great blanket! And good for you using up your left over yarn...I need a project to do that as well! Happy knitting!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband gets sick of all the balls of yarn floating around the house, so I thought it would be a good idea to use them up and cover his tv!!
DeleteYou have no idea how excited I am about the tv cozy.
ReplyDeleteWe love ours.
It has made such a difference to the look of our home.
Not a fan of that book tho.
I'm interested to see how you go with it.
Thanks Kate!
DeleteI like having a project I can do in bits and pieces.
What a beautiful blanket! I've never attacked such a big project...I'm afraid I'd give up before I could get it done!
ReplyDeleteNow that's what I call a cozy! It would definitely bring some color to the TV while protecting it.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you have woven in the ends! The stripe blanket looks great so far.
