I started my Critron this week and struggled like you wouldn't believe with the pattern.
I kinda feel like for every step I took forward with this project, I'm had to take 10 steps back!!
Yet on Ravelry, every comment about it was "this was so easy"!!
After much trial and error, I figured it out and then felt so silly as I really was just overcomplicating a simple pattern... So now I have finished 3 repeats and I really don't like the wool...
...I love the colour but the wool is not feeling very soft and I can't really say that I am loving it...so more wool has been ordered in a similar colour but in a luxury baby wool.
Now I need to find something to use the original wool up?
I have also been working on the baby set for my friend but I don't want to share photos just in case she pops in for a look!
My Mum has just put in an order for 2 cowls, so I have ordered more wool for that and some more for me!!
I have been reading The Apothecary's Daughter and I ablsolutely love it! Mostly I love the short chapters, so I can get a couple read before bedtime!!
I also made some little crochet hats for Roman's Gnomes, yesterday!

Check out what other's have been knitting/crocheting over at Small Things!

I love the colour too Shara - and the style is really beautiful. I am sure you will put it to good use! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Treens! I'm just hoping I get to finish it before winter's end!!
DeleteI hate when you get partway through a project and don't like the wool for it. Oh well, at least you can use something you love more. I've read that book too, and I loved it!
ReplyDeleteLovely colors -- I'm sure you'll find another use for that yarn, but what a disappointment it is to have to start over!

Aw, what a shame when you start something and the yarn just isn't right. I hope the new one will be perfect for your shawl!
ReplyDeleteAnd there is always going to be some use for the other one, right?
I have that book downloaded to my Kindle app. I'll have to give it a shot.
