A Simple TeePee

A while ago a friend gave me 8 metres of Ikea fabric, that she had bought on sale, but never used! The best kind of gift, as far as I'm concerned! And seeing as I've wanted to make the boys a more permanent cubby house, it seemed like to perfect match.

Very simply, I sewed 2 panels together, hemmed the bottom and folded over and sewed the top, threaded through some rope and looped it over a hook in the ceiling of our sunroom/playroom/sewing room. I used an old lounge cushion for the base and tucked the sides underneath!

So far the boys have played in it, used it as a reading nook and a quiet place to play the Ipod. That's a win, I would say!!

If you are looking for teepee inspiration, check out these ones, that I found on Pinterest. HERE and HERE and HERE

  1. Fantastic! 8 meters of fabric is a wonderful gift, and I'm sure the tee pee is going to be a gift that keeps giving with the boys. :)
