Arithmetic

I fell totally in love with the Arithmetic Quilt, over at Buttontree Lane, (you can see the original pattern here). So I decided to try my hand at one for the couch.

I scouted through all my odds and ends of fabric, and started cutting lots and lots and lots of squares! I am about halfway done cutting, and this morning I though I might lay some out to get a feel for the colours etc.

I think I need more dark colours. I've got more of the navy floral and lots of plain brown, which I will add in too.
