ONE
I love to sew. And I'm not perfectionist about it at all. In fact I embrace (prefer, even) the homemade look. But I get really sad when a wonderful project is not how I imagined it. Today I made 2 sweet bonnets for Caspian (even though Kaleb says boys shouldn't wear bonnets), and they are too small.
TWO
I really still want more babies. Kaleb said we could talk about it next year. Patience is a virtue, I know. Enjoy the babe you've got, I am. But still it would mean I could use the too small bonnets.
THREE
I'm really excited to get back into German language study. I learnt for 7 years at school and then promptly left it behind when I graduated Yr 12. Sprechen sie Deutsch?
FOUR
Into the 3rd week of Roman's second year at school and it still not a decision I feel at peace about. But I'm not sure what to do.
FIVE
I love to daydream about house renovations. I love being debt free and being home full time with my kiddos. But sometimes I really feel a pull to having our own permanent spot. One day.... Unless you have the winning lotto numbers.
SIX
I don't like being an over thinker. This week when 2 social meet ups fell through, I let thoughts creep in like 'you've got no friends, who'd wanna hang out with you anyway'. Destructive. I need to work on that.
SEVEN
I'm so excited and happy for Kaleb as he embarks on an apprenticeship. In a few years I'll be married to a Chef. I think it takes courage to go back to the start when you're almost 30.
EIGHT
I'm obsessed with the Winter Olympics. I think it's because ice and snow are so foreign to my Queensland roots. Or it could be that people knit at the Winter Olympics.
NINE
Already I can smell fireplaces starting up. It's been so cool for the end of Summer, I can feel Autumn on the horizon and I'm happy.
TEN
I've been sticking to my 9:30pm bedtime. Which helps me feel so much better when one of the children wake at 5am. Particularly if I've been up multiple times during the night with the baby.
What about you? Any randome thoughts you want to share?
Wanna see some random photos too?

Hi Shara. Great post, I'm thinking this is a great way to convey a lot in a short time and with good communication. Firstly, can I say no wonder you want more babies - your lot are so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteAlso a career change is a good thing. My husband did it (when he was older than yours) went back to uni and totally changed direction. All worked out well. Are you thinking of homeschooling? We are loving the Olympics too, both of us are skiers (well him more than me) and there is just something about snow. ..... and the cool. Enjoy. cheers Wendy
Ugh, I tried to convince Bren to let me have 'just one more..' for years and mainly so I could knit tiny things for it. Those bonnets are too cute to waste I think.
ReplyDeleteI love your randoms.
Thanks heaps for playing.
