On Monday, for Caspian's actual birthday, we spent the day at home. A visit from a friend followed by toasted marshmallows and chocolate cake on the lawn, before it got to cold. Presents were opened from Grandma and Nana.
A few days later, the cart I ordered online arrived. He loves standing up with it, but is yet to push it along. All in good time, little boy!
On Saturday, we had a larger celebration at the park with family & friends.
Oven ever thrown a first birthday before, it was a bit stressful in the morning, but once we were all set up, it was a really lovely day.
I was a bit cheeky & asked on the invitations for storybooks instead of toys! I'm so glad though, because he received a pile of really lovely books to add to our book shelves. And really, what one year old (particularly one with 2 older brothers!) needs more toys?
And so that is it! A whole week of first birthday celebrations are over.
Today will be spent resting and recovering from the sugar hangover!
