I did it! My first pair of socks! They took me 6 months because I suffered a terrible case of second sockitis....
Roman is pretty happy with them and they're doing a great job of keeping his feet warm on these chilly winter days.
Pattern: Easy Children's Socks by Diane Soucy.
Yarn: Luna Grey Fibre Arts Orion in Moss colourway.
A cheeky brother shot!
Roman and I have finished reading James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl and are on the lookout for something new. I think we'll stick with Mr Dahl though, such a word wizard!

WOOHOO! congrats on the new socks - they look lovely. I am a bit envious lol - I haven't mustered the courage to try socks yet (but I do have the yarn ready for when the courage gets me)

Yeah!!! Socks are such fun! And these are your first??? They turned out amazing!!
ReplyDeleteYay for the completed socks! I actually really enjoy knitting socks...but only for my kids. I haven't done any adult sized pairs, probably would take me several months to complete as well :-)
ReplyDeleteSocks! Hooray! The first pair is always the hardest. I've learned to knit them 2-at-a-time on a long circ. Saves me from second sock syndrome! Happy knitting!
ReplyDeleteI love those socks! They are so comfy-looking and I love green.
ReplyDeleteWhat great socks! Second sockitis gets me every time so I haven't attempted socks in quite a while!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Lovely work!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking pair of socks! I am impressed that these are your first. Hope he gets lots of wear out of them!
ReplyDeleteFantastic socks!...just love the color too!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried knitting socks yet, but I am trying
to work up the courage too...I always hear how hard they are.

Roman thinks so too!!!
