Early Spring has brought some warmer days with it, and we've been enjoying them by spending our afternoons in the garden.
Leo tends the Basil seedlings and marigold garden, while I do some weeding. Then we check the Mulberry tree for ripening progress. And while they are a little way off, Leo insisted on eating one anyway.
There were no Magnolia blooms today, but a few buds.
Then we ventured across the road to see if we could spot any Water Hens on the pond. There were 2, and Leo declared that they were, in fact, "SeaGirls" not Water Hens!
On the way back home, the setting sun was shining in our driveway in just the way that makes me sigh with gratitude for the beauty of the natural world.

On the subject of adorable mispronunciation:
Leo calls Pimples - Nipples
Roman calls Bok Choy - Bonk Choy
I don't have the heart to correct them, it always brings a smile to my face.

Lovely time of year isn't it?
