What's he looking at?

A little lizard friend.

---

You know I have so many patterns for pants from all sorts of different book (Japanese ones are my favourite, easy patterns with a good fit), but really it's easiest and quickest to take a pair of pants from the cupboard and trace around those.

I used a larger pair for Roman this time as he has grown out of his others, plus I wanted a wide leg, relaxed fit. I also made a waist band, then folded it over and sewed a second waist band before inserting the elastic. Hopefully as he grows upwards, I can unpick the current waist and just reinsert the elastic to give some length to the rise.

I can't remember what the fabric is now as I bought it so long ago (I also purchased it in a red stripe), but it is so so soft, yet thick enough for winter warmth. I popped back to the fabric shop today, searched high and low, but could not find anymore.

I did, however get a lovely blue pinstripe off the sale rack, undoubtably that will become something for the boys and a sweet leaf print that I'll make into a bassinet sheet for the new baby.
