Red Waist Coat

 

Leo requested a Red Vest. He's requesting Red everything lately - I seem to remember his big brother requesting green everything at one point too!

I used the Reversible Vest pattern from Linen Wool Cotton Kids. I omitted the welt pockets and the back buckle tie and attached snaps instead of buttons, just to keep it really quick and simple. It probably only took me around 1.5 hours. 

I used the red gingham, which was actually a cafe curtain that I found at the op shop ages ago and lined it with my favourite lion fabric. Now he has a fun two in one vest for any occasion!
