My Instagram account tells me the first photo I shared of this blanket was 91 weeks ago. You can see that Caspian was a sweet new baby then.

It's been in and out of storage over that time, until a few months ago, when I decided to just get stuck into it and have it finished in time for winter. Last night, at 11:45pm, I finally joined the last square. 12 days left until winter!

I used DK, acrylic yarn & a 4.5mm hook. Each square is 5 different coloured rounds. All randomly chosen. Finished with 1 round of cream for the border. Originally, I was going to do black borders but I'm so glad I switched to cream. The blanket is 14 squares by 14 squares, 196 in total. It fits our King Size bed perfectly with a generous overhang.

I couldn't be happier with this blanket. I hope it will last the distance and perhaps be one a family heirloom.

SO MUCH WORK, I can't imagine the weaving in of all those colors, but so worth it.

I hope you enjoy snuggling under the blanket this winter
