Fisherboy Pants

Recently I have been so inspired by Udder's new collection, particularly the Tin Tin Pants. However, they are slightly beyond my price point, especially for kids clothes!

Then the other day when I was hanging out on Pinterest, I spotted a pants tutorial, that looked kind of similar.

I purchased some fabric last week, but Roman said he didn't like it (I love it, it will definitely get used!), so I let him choose another print, which turned out to be the one that I had chosen for Leo.... oh well, Leo won't mind, he's not fussy;)  I've noticed in the last month or so that Roman is starting to assert himself more when it comes to clothing. I don't mind of course, but he literally went from not caring at all, to having a pretty strong opinion.

It has been a while since I have sewn anything that requires a bit more brainpower. So these did take me most of the day. I traced a pair of Roman's pants to get the size but in the end, I was cutting it a bit close on the fit around the waist. They only just fit!!

And then with only a few centimetres left on the last seam, my needle snapped! Grrr... We still have not unpacked so much stuff, so it really was like trying to find a needle in a haystack, or in this case, a box stack!!

Anyway, I got there in the end. And most importantly, Roman loves them!!

I think they are great, although they could have been a bit roomier.
