Happy Feet

There are still 13 sleeps until Roman's Birthday, but I feel one step closer today, after finishing this gift for him! I just adore this Penguin and we love any books by Oliver Jeffers. I'm pretty sure this gift will be a winner!!

The penguin pattern came from the book Hop, Skip, Jump and I made the beanie red to match the penguin dorm the book. The green chevron inside the wing is a nod to green being Roman's favourite colour.

Tonight, with the little ones in bed, Roman and I are watching Happy Feet and eating popcorn. I'm getting in a bit of knitting on his birthday vest.

Pinch and a punch for the first of the Month!

  1. Roman's penguin is just gorgeous (and the beanie) he will love it for sure!
Penguins are just so cute in general aren't they? We used to have a great little book about a penguin which our son used to love (can't remember the name of course) but it was way before Happy Feet came out, but I loved Happy Feet too. Enjoy your weekend! cheers Wendy

  2. Your penguin is absolutely perfect, I so wish I could sew! I'm also extremely excited to spot 'Up and Down' - I didn't realise that book existed! I'll be buying it for my son's birthday in a couple of weeks, I'm sure he'll be over the moon!
Thank you for helping me celebrate World Book Day by linking up to my special penguin linky!
