"Now We Are Six"

When I was one,
I had just begun.
When I was two,
I was nearly new.
When I was three,
I was hardly me.
When I was four,
I was not much more.
When I was five,
I was just alive.
But now I am six,
I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six
now and forever.

What an amazing day!

We woke very early, before 5am! Roman opened his presents and had a special breakfast ( a favourite cereal that is only for birthdays! ). Off he went to school, showing off his new watch!

After school he had 4 friends (and siblings, 12 children all together!) come over for afternoon tea, play and birthday cake.

It rained all afternoon, so I resigned myself to having an indoor party with a lot of noise. Thankfully, after the food was eaten, the sun came out and so the children ended up in the mud, of course!

A simple party, with no fuss, worked perfectly.

Now all 3 boys are fast asleep! Which is great because we have another birthday party to attend tomorrow morning!!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Many birthday wishes to your lovely son Shara.... and to you too. I think every mother becomes a little reflective on their child's birthday, as you obviously have been.
Sounds like a perfect day to me. How was the penguin received? Have you tracked down a Tacky yet! cheers Wendy

  2. Happy birthday Roman! It looks like he had a good one! My oldest also got a watch for his sixth birthday from my mother :)
