I could not be more in love with this handsome vest on my handsome boy!

I've been looking to branch out from my staple Milo vest, but still needing something quick and simple. CIRCUS by Emilie L (on Ravelry) really ticked those requirements, not to mention it's terribly adorable! All garter stitch, with simple shaping and a small amount of grafting at the shoulders.

I suppose the pattern name reflects a Ringmasters vest, however Roman thought it was reminiscent of a Pirate's vest! He chose his own buttons from the shop, silver with little a little coat of arms on each.

As for reading: I've been reading chapter books with Roman each night before bed. So far, we have finished The Owl who was afraid of the dark by Jill Tomlinson and The Scorcerers Apprentice. 

Now we have started James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl.
