I envision this blog being a place to record my growing, changing family. A place to share our homeschool adventures, our arty/crafty activities & the special milestones that happen along the way.
I think it all went pear-shaped for me when our laptop became unusable, and I started blogging from my IPhone. It can be done but it's frustrating not being able to link to other blogs or to my ravelry page, easily.
But really that's just an excuse, and I've decided just to push past it and do the best I can, with what I have.
So, today I'm taking my lead from one of my favourite blogs, Foxslane!
I am...
ENJOYING the BBC series Lark Rise to Candleford. I've downloaded season 1 from ITunes and have been watching and episode each night while knitting.
PLAYING peekaboo all the time. Caspian loves this game and his giggle is addictive!
SMELLING the damp earth in my garden after some much needed rain.
LISTENING to Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. Cold days, hot tea, knitting and French music - perfect!
WEARING my new Breastfeeding necklace from Kangaroo Baby Care. It's a useful tool as Caspian was pinching my neck while feeding, but now he can play with the beads.
READING to Roman every night. I got some new books in the post today, looking forward to reading something for myself in the coming weeks.
CROCHETING a hottie cover. I haven't been sharing my progress on Instagram as it will be a gift for a friend!
LAUGHING at myself and how nervous I still get when my kids pat snakes.
KNITTING lots of things! But focusing on a vest for my Dad. A gift for his 60th birthday in December.
BLOGGING not very regularly, but still reading lots of blogs and trying to comment when I can.
FLICKING through the SBS On Demand film list and watching 4 films online this past week. Death at a Funeral, 2 Days in Paris, The Reluctant Infidel and Just Sex and Nothing Else.
NOT LOVING that Winter is coming to an end. I love cosy days, feathering my nest and venturing out into the warming sunshine.
KNOWING that next week will not be as crazy busy as this week is looking to be. Balance is key.
CASTING ON with a new delivery from O-Wool. This is my first time using their yarn, but the colours and feel of it have got me inspired!
WONDERING why I consistently double book myself! I suppose I'm not really wondering, it's pretty obvious that I would benefit from writing appointments down!
DREAMING about cutting into some linen to make a snazzy waistcoat for Roman.
HOPING to get started on some Spring/Summer clothes for the boys, using the simple patterns from Happy Homemade Sew Chic Kids.
GIGGLING with Roman as we read through The BFG by Roald Dahl.
Well there's a little snapshot from me!!
Will be back for Yarn Along on Wednesday.
x Shara

Reading through that just made my day, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI think I am beginning to understand that a snippets post is just as much fun to read as it is to write.
Love your pics, love everything you are making and doing.
Let's make this a regular thing?
xx
love to read your snippets :) I have been struggling with blogging for many months now. I wanted to blog for the same reason as you, to just record our days. But life IS busy and at the end of the day I really just want to knit a little before going to bed instead of spending an hour in front of the computer uploading pics and writting a post.... I guess I have just turned lazy :) Not sure what I will do with the blog, I might just close it and focus on instagram which is much more fun!
ReplyDeleteI just love your snippets...always love visiting here.
ReplyDelete.....everything so cozy and family!
.....how cute is that Caspian!!!!.... love, love the folded crocheted

You are so talented! I am so glad that you do blog and share,
Corinne
