I had to dive straight in to all that gorgeous yarn I got on sale last week.
Leo requested a Rainbow Hat and how could I refuse?!
The pattern is Naked Star and it's knitted flat then seamed up the back. I made some simple modifications to fit him.
Even though Winter is coming to a close, and we don't have much need of hats anymore, it's got enough room and stretch that I'm confident it'll last him to next Winter.
Roman wants a Rainbow Hat now, so I suppose I'll make one for Caspian to! Three Rainbow adorned boys coming up next Winter! I couldn't think of anything that would make me happier ;)
Roman and I are almost finished the BFG. I'm used to reading around three chapters a night, but I've had to reduce to one with this book as the BFG's "langwich" is so hard to pronounce that my brain feels fried!! I find it's harder for Roman to understand also, as all the wordswapping etc goes abit above his head.
I've just begun reading A Charlotte Mason Companion by Karen Andreola, trying to prepare myself for our Home Education submission paperwork next month!
Can't wait to see what you're all knitting and reading, too.
