Yarn Along...

It's been so long since I Yarned Along, I'm not sure what to share first!

I'll start with some FO's:

A sweet pair of pants for Caspian. Initially these were to be a little summer romper, but as I had to adjust the pattern (it only went to 9 month size), I fudged the numbers a bit. I completely forgot to add the extra length to the body so that they would reach the mid chest! I added an Icord drawstring and now they are shorts! Not all was lost....

Another Circus Vest (available on Ravelry). This is fast becoming my favourite pattern for a kids vest. Knit flat, all garter & such a handsome result!

This was my first time using O-Wool. I really loved it. Such a squishy, sturdy wool. And this colour, Saffron, is one of the most divine colours I've laid eyes on.

I've been reading For The Children's Sake (Foundations of Education for Home & School) by Susan Schaeffer Macauley.

There's a lot I have to wade through because I plain don't agree with, but there has been some real gems of information too. It's really well written and and easy read, which is good for my end of the day, frazzled brain!

As you can see in the photos, I've had to shave Leo's beautiful curls off. It not even Summer and I've picked more than 5 ticks from his head. Thankfully only one had burrowed in, but still it's hard to keep on top of with so much hair. I was a bit upset as he looks so much like a big boy with short hair & I'm having a hard time letting him grow up ;)

  1. Love the rompers - great idea! For The Children's Sake is a fabulous read, one of those books you go back to for years.

  2. I'm loving tthe yellow colour of the vest. It seems to be the "in" colour this season, and finally one I want to run with! Sorry about the tics, that sounds awful!
