Roman has learnt to ride a bike this weekend! He had a scary bike riding experience when he was quite young. Some older children we know lifted him onto a large bike and tried to "help" him to ride. Unfortunately, he really hurt himself and has never wanted to ride again. 

We've had a bike waiting for him for when he was ready and last Sunday he said he'd like to try, but that he wanted training wheels. I said I could get him some the following week, when I went to town. He took it upon himself to give it a go anyway and within 2 afternoons he was on his way! 

It has given him such a sense of achievement and he can't stop beaming about being a bike rider. I'm so glad we gave him the time he needed.

And just look at that beautiful Rainbow that appeared yesterday afternoon while we were outside. It began pouring moments later and the boys had fun riding bikes in the rain.

This morning I put some craft bits and bobs out, so when Roman and Leo came in from some early morning bike riding, they could make some Valentines Day art for the windows.
