A totally appropriate FO this week, as our temperatures have dropped finally!
I saw a gorgeous hooded pullover done entirely in Garter Stitch on Instagram. Come to think of it, it was a lovely brown too! I searched all over Ravelry, Pinterest and finally Google, to find a pattern. However, all I could see was one in French. I tried using Google Translate, but it came out in English fairly incomprehensible...
After studying the original picture again, I decided to be bold and just give it a go with no pattern. I took my time, holding it up against Caspian each step of the way to ensure a good fit, and I'm very pleased that it turned out perfectly!
Now, both the big boys want one each (not this Winter, my boys!) so I'm glad I jotted down some notes. I hope to share them with you all.... Not a pattern as such but a "recipe" for the shape and construction. Hopefully, that will be enough to adapt it to the size needed for each individual child.
I haven't done much reading this week, apart from to the children.
Current favourites are Brave Little Owl by Gill Davies & Apple Cake by Nienke van Hichtum
Now I'm off to continue enjoying this cool, rainy Autumn day at my sewing machine!
