Yarn Along

Another finished project this week! I'm on a roll :) I finished the cowl for my Mum and gave it to her on Saturday, as I knew she would want to wear it to church on Sunday! She really liked it, and when I dropped Roman off at her house today for sleepover, she was wearing it.

I only got a picture of me wearing it the night I finished it.

It is kind of a grey/white colour

Still reading the same books, but this week we were visited by Kaleb's Aunty Carol, who is over in Australia for a holiday (she lives in New Zealand's South Island). She gifted our boys this book.

It is written and illustrated by her cousin and is a true story, set in Nelson (where Kaleb is from) and the Marlborough Sounds. It is such a heartwarming story and the illustrations are so lovely! Thanks Aunty Carol!!

  2. What a nice gift- with such a great story behind it :)
The cowl looks lovely and cozy. I cant imagine wearing it right now (since it is summer here and HOT) but it must be lovely now it is getting cold there :)

    1. That's how I feel in our stifling summer, as all the Northern Hemisphere Knitters/Crocheters get their inspiration happening! But it doesnt get too cold in Queensland thankfully, it is a lovely respite from the hot hot summers!
