The Great Green Birthday Quilt!

A labour of love! But finally finished and in time for the big day on Friday. I have never made quilt before and it is a task I really struggled with. Precision, straight lines and me, don't mix! And binding!! Oh my goodness - Thankyou YouTube ;)

When all is said and done, I am really happy with how it turned out and I am absolutely sure that Roman will love it.

I've decided that a mama made quilt will be a lovely 6th birthday tradition. So I've got until 2017 to get my courage back up and do it all again.

Ps: I used a machine binding tutorial on you tube from The Missouri Star Quilt Co. They have heaps of tutorials and the videos are so well presented. I would definitely reccommend starting there if you're a beginner like me!

  1. Your first quilt!! How exciting! It looks so nice and cozy, you did such a great job! I'm working on a quilt for my almost six year old right now too...hopefully I'll finish it this week. (visiting from KCCO)

    1. Green is his favourite, I like how mismatched seems to match!
