Yarn Along

Wow! I don't think I've put down the hook all week!! As the air cools here, I definitely start to feel motivated to get some hooky work happening. I finished some Cutie Patootie Pants (Little Crochet by Linda Permann) that I started ages ago for Leo, pity he won't fit into these now!! Will have to keep them for the next babe...

I am also making good progress on the TV Cosy squares, but I did forget how time intensive it is to sew all those squares together! So I'll keep plugging along at that one!

I also received my first order from the Bendigo Woollen Mills! Some Rustic 8ply 100% Wool in Green Tweed. This has already been started for some more Cutie Patootie Pants (long ones) for Leo in a bigger size and another pair in newborn size, for a friend , whose 3rd baby ( 3rd boy! ) will be joining their family in our Aussie winter. These 2 pairs of pants will also be my first attempt at lanolising. So if anyone has any great tips or sites for me to check out, I would really appreciate it!

I started 2 new books this week and while I realise this is highly ambitious of me, I'm definitely trying to put some time aside each evening before bed to read just one chapter.

Bookshop on Jacaranda Street by Marlish Glorie (fiction)

and

Hold Onto Your Kids (Why parents need to matter more than peers) by Gordon Neufeld and Gabor Mate (non-fiction)
I have been wanting to read this for ages and a friend kindly lent it to me!

Joining in with Ginny!!
You can also find me on Ravelry!!

Also:

Today was my Husbands 28th Birthday!!

We spent the afternoon eating cake (chocolate with whipped cream and crumbled Flake on top) and playing with the kids....

    1. Aren't they great! It was a project I wasn't sure would turn out, so a bit scary to put so much time and effort in, but I'm glad I finished!

  5. The pants are soooo cute! I love the colors. I am with you on how time consuming attaching the granny squares together is. I will have to remember that for next time! :)

    1. I always think a granny square project is a good idea until I have to put them together!! It'll be worth it in the end!

  6. I love the little pants. Adorable!! And I love granny squares too except for the joining part. That part is about as fun as sewing in ends, right?

Happy birthday to your hubs too!
